Iranian Female Taekwondo Athlete Secures Olympic Spot

By the official announcement of the World Taekwondo, Nahid Kiyani, the Iranian -57kg female athlete gained the Paris 2024 quota.

By sending a letter, the World Taekwondo Federation announced the names of the qualified athletes for the Paris Olympics. Sparkling in important competitions, including winning the gold medal of the world championship in Baku, two valuable silver medals in the Grand Prix competitions and winning in international tournaments, Kiyani gained the necessary points for her second appearance in the Olympic competitions through the ranking system. It should be mentioned that, for the first time, Iranian Taekwondo in the women's division has won a quota to participate in the Olympic Games through the ranking system. Before Kiyani, Mehran Barkhordari in the men's 80-kg weight division won the Grand Slam and qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
