Hajimousaei claims silver in taekwondo at Hangzhou

Iranian taekwondo athlete Mahdi Hajimousaei lost to South Korea's Jang Jun in the men's -58kg at the 19th Asian Games on Monday.

He lost to his Korean rival 2-0 in the gold medal match at Lin'an Sports Culture & Exhibition Centre in the host city of Hangzhou.

Iran’s Marjan Salahshouri had won a bronze medal in poomsae on Sunday.

With more than 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, the Asian Games has more participants than the Olympics.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
